Hamed Ghiaie is an Economics and Public Policy Professor at ESCP Business School. He is a macroeconomist and has conducted research and contributed to esteemed international economic organizations, including the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, Paris), the International Monetary Fund (IMF, Washington D.C.), and the Research Group on International Economics and Development (GREDI, Quebec, Canada).

Hamed completed his PhD in Economics and Public Policy in December 2018. His dissertation, titled Essays on Financial Economics & Policy Modeling, was recognized by CNU in the 2019 Campagne de Qualification (Qualification de MCF, Section 05, a nationwide evaluation of French PhD candidates). Hamed obtained his HDR qualification (the highest degree in the French university system) in Economic Sciences in 2025.

At ESCP, Hamed co-directs the "Affaires Publiques" specialization (Paris), coordinates the "Bachelor II Macroeconomics program" (across all campuses), and co-coordinates the "Pré-Master Economics I" course (Paris). He teaches within the BIM, MIM, MSc, and EMBA programmes and supervises Bachelor’s and Master’s students in the preparation of their theses. In 2021, one of his students received the MiM Master Theses Award for the outstanding quality of their dissertation, as assessed by the European Research Committee.

Hamed’s current research focuses on Macro policy design, optimal monetary and fiscal policies and their impact on the housing market. He collaborates on these topics with economists from the International Monetary Fund and researchers affiliated with central banks in various countries.
