Bachelor in Politics, Economics & Management (PEM)
Contemporary geopolitical, economic, technological, and environmental transformations are reshaping the way students are educated, in a context where public and private challenges are becoming increasingly interconnected.
Sciences Po and ESCP Business School created the Bachelor in Politics, Economics & Management (PEM), a four-year international dual degree programme designed for students who want to understand the major challenges of our time and translate that understanding into managerial action.
The programme offers a dual perspective on current challenges by connecting political and social dimensions with economic and organisational dynamics. It is built on the development of a dual academic foundation, combining the core disciplines of Sciences Po—history, sociology, political science, economics, and law—with ESCP’s expertise in management, finance, strategy, data analytics, and quantitative methods.
Fully taught in English and structured across three countries, the programme prepares graduates to operate in demanding and ever-changing international environments.

The programme
The Bachelor in Politics, Economics & Management (PEM) programme builds a unique interdisciplinary profile, combining the analytical depth of social sciences with the practical tools of management.
The first two years at Sciences Po’s Reims Campus cover political science, economics, history, sociology and law — plus two dedicated ESCP modules (AI & Business and Introduction to Business Organisations & Strategy) that provide an early grounding in management thinking.
Hosted at ESCP London, the third year consolidates expertise in finance, accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship, data analytics and programming.
The fourth year at one of ESCP's European campuses deepens students' understanding of international economics, operations, information systems and ethics, while allowing them to specialise through electives and majors.
International dimension
The PEM programme is designed as a truly international experience from day one. Students study across multiple countries throughout their four years, immersing themselves in different cultures, building cross-border networks and developing the global mindset that today's employers expect.
Classes are taught by an international faculty bringing diverse academic and professional perspectives, and students have the opportunity to strengthen their language skills through a multilingual learning environment and language courses.
Delivered jointly by ESCP Business School and Sciences Po, this four-year programme combines academic excellence in politics, economics and management with an immersive European experience. Graduates earn two Bachelor's degrees and develop the analytical, managerial and international perspective needed to thrive across the public and private sectors.
Bachelor in Politics, Economics & Management (PEM)
Introduction
The Bachelor in Politics, Economics & Management (PEM) offers a rigorous and interdisciplinary curriculum designed to equip students with the analytical, quantitative and managerial skills needed to navigate demanding international environments that are in constant transformation.
Combining the academic strengths of Sciences Po and ESCP Business School, the programme progressively integrates social sciences, economics and management, enabling students to develop a deep understanding of political, economic and societal challenges while learning how organisations respond to them.
The first year provides a strong grounding in political science, economics, history, law, sociology, and quantitative methods, while introducing students to the fundamental concepts of business and management.
Building on these foundations, the second year expands students' analytical perspective through advanced social science coursework, elective pathways through the choice of two majors, and deeper engagement with contemporary global challenges.
At ESCP's London campus, the third year focuses on the core disciplines of management, including finance, accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship, data analytics and organisational decision-making, complemented by a first professional internship.
Designed as a year of specialisation and international exposure, the final year combines advanced coursework, elective opportunities and a thesis with a concluding internship that brings academic knowledge into practice.
