Giovanni Scarso Borioli
Academic Director, MSc in Product Management for Technology & Associate Professor of Strategy, Innovation and Organisational Transformation
Giovanni is a full-time member of the faculty in London, specialising in strategy, innovation, and organisational transformation. His research focuses on how companies formulate and execute strategy, with a particular interest in overcoming execution challenges and integrating strategic frameworks for effective decision-making. Giovanni is actively involved in qualitative research, employing Grounded Theory to analyse how CEOs and senior executives navigate strategic challenges in large multinational organisations.
Giovanni is also working at the cross section of Management and Computer science research, focusing on developing a machine-readable framework for Strategy formulation, aiming at enabling GenAI agents to effectively reason about Corporate and Business Strategy in a formally rigorous and explainable way, as well as adding deep layers of context-specificity.

Audrey Picard
Programme Co-Director, MSc in Digital Transformation Management & Leadership and MSc in Product Management for Technology; ESCP London AI Lead
Audrey is Co-Director of the MSc in Digital Transformation at ESCP Business School and is accompanying its evolution into the MSc in Product Management for Technology.
Drawing on her background in language education, intercultural learning and academic programme leadership, she brings a distinctly human-centred perspective to technology and management education. Her interests focus on the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into teaching and learning, the development of future-ready skills, and the relationship between technology, communication and human behaviour.
She is also AI Coordinator for ESCP’s London Campus, where she supports students and faculty in adopting AI critically, creatively and responsibly.

A 21-to-24-month, full-time programme

Professional Development
- Experiential Module: London studio (multiple 1-week sprints across the year with different London partners in fintech, AI labs, the public sector, B2B SaaS, and climate tech.
The Company Consultancy Project is one of the key elements of the specialisation. It will enable you to work hands-on, addressing a digital-related business problem for a real company.
These 12-week-long projects provide you with collaborative and intercultural work experience on a case provided by a company. In groups of four to five, teams are expected to perform an in-depth analysis and make recommendations for actions that can realistically be implemented by the company.
You will learn how to approach an issue with a critical mindset, manage the expectations of the client and your team members, as well as how to react swiftly in unexpected situations with a creative and open-minded attitude. Throughout the project, your team will be guided by a tutor to ensure quality and timely delivery of results.
PROFESSIONAL MISSION – TERM 4
Jul-Dec: A professional mission in the form of an in-company internship or direct employment lasting at least 4 months.
From July to April students must complete their Digital Placements - an in-company internship or a direct employment of minimum 4 months.
The Digital Placement is an opportunity for students to apply their leadership and management skills in practice, as well as deepen the understanding digital technologies, transformation management and business strategy by doing.
The Corporate Relations Department is dedicated to gathering placement offers from many companies. The department also organises a series of Careers fairs and events, giving you many opportunities to make contact.
INDUSTRY RESEARCH REPORT (PROFESSIONAL THESIS) & RESEARCH SEMINAR – TERM 4
Jul-Dec: Writing and defending an individual applied industry research report (Professional Master Thesis)
The thesis is an individual applied research project for the Master degree and must be approximately 12,000 words. It is a theory/praxis-driven investigation into a relevant business or management issue. Each student conducts the thesis under the supervision of a faculty member.
Students are encouraged from the start of the specialisation to think about a topic for their thesis.
At the end of the specialisation, a written thesis is submitted. A viva voce oral examination is also held at which the research is presented to and assessed by an academic jury.
Professional thesis represents 17 of the total of 90 ECTS credits earned over this academic year.
During this time, students will also participate in a mandatory Research Seminar held by an ESCP professor. This seminar represents 3 ECTS credits of the total 90 earned over this academic year.

Admissions
Requirements
The MSc in Product management for Technology is open to candidates from any disciplinary background. The curriculum is engineered to deliver a meaningful technical floor — Python, SQL, software architecture fundamentals, generative-AI and machine-learning literacy — to students arriving from business, humanities, design, social-science and STEM backgrounds alike. We do not select for prior coding experience; we select for intellectual capability, curiosity and the appetite to operate at the seam between business and technology. However, the following are required:
- Bachelor degree and/or Masters in any discipline:
- Candidates with less than 240 ECTS* or equivalent will be required to attend an additional online semester from July to September.
- A recommended minimum of 12 months of professional experience (can include internships), preferably in areas related to technology, strategy, finance, marketing, business or management.
- Candidates with lower experience length will still be considered if they come from prestigious institutions and/or have excellent past academic performance
- 2 reference letters (ideally one academic and one professional)
- Motivation letter
- An up-to-date CV
- Photocopy of a valid, in-date passport
- Fluency in English. For non-native English speakers, we require the following minimum scores:
- TOEFL IBT: 5
- TOEFL written: 600
- TOEFL computer based: 250
- IELTS Academic: 7
- TOEIC: 800
- Cambridge English C1/C2 (CAE/CPE): 185
- Exemptions may be granted if you have studied fully in English for three or more years
- Candidates who choose to enter the specialisation on the UK Graduate Immigration Route will be required to take a SELT-approved English proficiency test.

*Due to accreditation regulations, students starting with less than 240 ECTS will need to obtain an additional 30 ECTS at ESCP. The School will offer an additional semester for those students, with a supplement fee of £3,000.
Candidates may be exempt from attending this semester if they have at least three years of relevant full-time work experience, meeting the following criteria:
- Each role must last a minimum of 5 months.
- Experiences cannot count towards a previous degree or be linked to any degree validation.
- Work must not have been completed while studying.
- Self-employment is not eligible.
These three years of experience must be completed by June, prior to Term 1. Candidates with less than four years of experience must provide certificates of full-time employment, including start and end dates, from each employer.
Standard Route vs UK Graduate Immigration Route
The MSc in Product Management for Technology offers students an option to choose between two entry routes that provide different post-study opportunities. One is in the UK (via the UK Graduate Immigration Route) and the other in France (via our Standard Route).

Procedure
STEP 1: APPLICATION FORM
Applications are treated on a first-come, first-served basis.
As places on the course are limited, we therefore advise you to submit your application as early as possible.
Applications are made online. The following supporting documents must be submitted with your online application:
- A copy of your previous grade transcripts and degree certificate(s) from all degrees to date*
- Curriculum vitae
- Photocopy of your passport or ID
- Language test certificates (if applicable). Exemptions may be granted if you have studied fully in English for three or more years. If your studies were not in an English-speaking country, please apply with a medium of instruction confirmation letter from your university to be considered for exemption.
- Two reference letters
*We will only accept original documents in ESCP campus languages (English, French, Italian, Spanish, German or Polish).
STEP 2: INTERVIEW
If your application has been successful, you will be invited to attend the second stage of the process - the admissions interview. During this, candidates must convince the selection committee of his/her abilities and motivation.
Interviews will operate with rolling deadlines between November and July for the October intake.
→ Results will be posted to candidates within approximately three weeks.
STEP 3: CONFIRMATION
Applicants who are offered a place must confirm their acceptance in writing by the deadline indicated in the offer letter, which is typically 10 days. A non-refundable deposit of £3,000 is required to secure a place on the specialisation once admission has been granted. This first deposit is deductible from the overall tuition fees.

Fees & Financials
- Tuition fees for the October 2027 intake of this specialisation are set at £28,750 (all students, EU and non-EU). Travel and living costs are not covered by the fees.
- There is an application fee of €130 for all applicants. Please note that the application fee is non-refundable.
- Candidates entering the specialisation with less than 240 ECTS will also be required to attend an additional online semester with a supplement fee of £3,000.
Tuition fees may be subject to change year to year.
Payment of Fees
Successful candidates must pay a non-refundable £3,000 deposit within 10 days of receiving their offer, which will be deducted from the total tuition fees.
Students have the option to pay their remaining tuition fees in full or split their payments into two instalments. Those who choose to pay in one instalment are also eligible for an Early Settlement Discount (ESD) of 3%.

Value: £1,000 - £4,000
How to apply: These scholarships are based on financial need and are open to all enrolled, at least partially self-funding applicants for the October 2027 intake of the MSc in Product Management for Technology specialisation.Once you confirm your place on the MSc in Product Management for Technology, you will have until 1st June 2027 to submit the [application form] outlining your current financial situation and how obtaining our Access Opportunity Scholarship will help you in your intended career path. Accreditation
This specialisation is part of the ESCP Master of Science (MSc) programme. Upon completion, you will be awarded the French Master’s degree (DEAMIE – Diplôme d‘Études Avancées en Management International des Entreprises), the UK Master of Science degree (awarded under ESCP London’s UK Degree Awarding Powers granted by the Office for Students), and the ESCP diploma (MSc in Product Management for Technology). The programme holds 120 ECTS.
