Erwan Lamy (PhD, HDR - French habilitation for doctoral supervision) is an Associate Professor in the Information and Operations Management Department at ESCP Business School, an associate researcher at GEMASS (CNRS, UMR 8598), and a member of the Research Group in Epistemology at the Collège de France.

His research primarily explores epistemology (the theory of knowledge) to define the organizational and institutional conditions necessary for enhancing the reliability of knowledge production processes within organizations, particularly in innovative companies and research institutions.

As part of this epistemological inquiry, he develops a reflection on the ethics of artificial intelligence and intellectual ethics, aiming to determine how AI can be used ethically in entrepreneurial contexts. This line of work focuses on ensuring that AI's integration aligns with ethical principles while supporting innovation and organizational goals. He has also created an elective module titled Information Ethics and Artificial Intelligence within the Master in Management program at ESCP Business School to address these crucial topics.

Erwan Lamy is also deeply engaged in the philosophy of management sciences. He is one of the founding members and the president of the Société de Philosophie des Sciences de Gestion, a French academic society (member of the FNEGE, Fondation nationale pour l'enseignement de la gestion des entreprises), where he actively contributes to its development and the advancement of philosophical thinking in management studies.

After earning a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Paris VI, he completed a Doctorate in 2005 in Epistemology, History of Science, and Technology at Paris Diderot University (Paris 7) with a thesis focused on entrepreneurial researchers. He holds a french Habilitation for Doctoral Supervision - HDR - from Université Paris Saclay.
