What is the MSc in Digital Project Management & Consulting at ESCP Business School?

This Master is a full-time, multicampus programme in Madrid and Berlin that combines project management and consulting with a strong focus on digital transformation projects across hybrid and international teams. It combines a management curriculum with hands-on experience through real company projects in technology-driven and international business environments.

You will develop hard skills in AI, machine learning, robots, data analysis, agile methodologies and blockchain, alongside soft skills that will enhance your leadership potential, inspire long-term value creation and prepare you to navigate future trends in digital transformation and innovation.

Learning Experience

Does the programme include hands-on experience?

Yes. The programme follows a learning-by-doing methodology, based on real company projects, case studies, simulation games and applied workshops, allowing students to apply project management and consulting methods in practice.

What is the Digital Consulting Project (DCP)?

The DCP is one of the core experiences of the programme. You work as a consultant on a real business challenge, helping the company analyse the problem, structure solutions, and deliver concrete results.

These projects often involve topics such as digital transformation, data-driven decision making, platforms or AI-related initiatives, allowing students to work on the kind of challenges companies are facing today.

In the past, our students have worked as consultants for companies such as CAP Gemini, RIU Hotels, Five Guys, Airbus, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, UST Global and E&Y, among others.

Are there specialisation options?

Yes. Students can choose between two tracks—Project Management or Consulting—and can further tailor the programme through a variety of electives such as Machine Learning, Advanced Finance, Conflict Management and Creativity & Design Thinking, or by preparing for globally recognised PMI certifications (PMP®/CAPM®).

What is the International Seminar?

The International Seminar is an immersive experience that includes company visits, expert-led sessions and networking opportunities in a leading business ecosystem.

It is also relevant for candidates interested in areas such as Digital Strategy Development, Business Process Analysis, Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (basic understanding), Project Management (Agile, Scrum, PMI certifications), Robots and AI, Change Management Methodologies, and Financial Analysis & ROI Calculation.

What are the admission requirements?

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline and demonstrate a strong command of English, as the programme is taught entirely in English.

Candidates with fewer than 240 ECTS credits are required to complete an additional term from July to September.

Is this programme right for me without a technical background?

Yes. The MSc is designed for students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

Is previous work experience required to apply?

No. Although previous professional experience is not mandatory, one year of experience is recommended to make the most of the programme.
