Latest stage in London Campus real estate masterplan opens to students
New study spaces and an expanded Student Wing further adapt the historic Victorian Campus to the needs of today’s students
ESCP has officially expanded the Student Wing and opened a new study floor at its London Campus, creating more than 100 additional seats for students to connect, study and collaborate as the School responds to rapid student growth.
The development forms part of ESCP London’s 10-year estate masterplan, which is modernising the historic Victorian Campus while preserving its architectural character to create more space for the ESCP community to grow, innovate and make an impact in the UK.
The opening ceremony took place on 13 October 2026, 22 years after ESCP moved its UK Campus from Oxford to its Finchley Road address in London. ESCP’s presence in the UK dates back to 1974, when the School first established its UK operations in Oxford.
Since relocating to London, the Campus has grown significantly. Its full-time student population has increased from 250 students in 2004 to 1,350 in 2026 - a more than fivefold increase. The Campus also hosts more than 600 executives each year through Executive Education programmes and is expected to accommodate approximately 1,600 full-time students by 2031.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together senior figures from across ESCP and the School’s wider community. In addition to the guest of honour Mustafa Soykurt, Consul General of France in the United Kingdom, ESCP's leadership team included Philippe Houzé, Chairman of the ESCP Board of Directors; Lord David Gold, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at ESCP London Campus; Professor Thomas Jeanjean, Dean and Executive President of ESCP; and Professor Marie Taillard, Dean of ESCP London Campus.
Senior guests from the London and Paris campuses, representatives from the faculty, staff and student bodies also attended the ceremony, celebrating the collaborative effort behind the project and the next chapter in ESCP’s development in the UK.
We are truly delighted to be opening up more than 100 additional study seats for students in our new study rooms across two levels. The new rooms range from quiet individual study areas to group meeting rooms, which allow students to work on their class projects in a comfortable and fully equipped environment. With communication, collaboration, empathy and creative skills playing an increasing role among the leadership skills we want our students to develop, it became evident that we needed more space for them to come together throughout the day.

Creating space for students to connect, study and collaborate
Set in motion in 2022, ESCP London's 10-year masterplan aims to modernise the Campus in response to ESCP’s growth, as well as the School’s objectives around sustainability, community and the student experience.
The expansion follows Free Space project, which enables students to use staff offices when they are not in use, and Kick Space, which reimagined the existing Campus footprint to maximise available space without constructing anything new.
The project extends the Student Wing, which opened in a separate building in September 2023, and adds a new floor dedicated to study space, creating more than 100 additional seats for students.

Internally known as Space Mountain, the development is located at the highest point of the Campus. The internal name reflects the ambition to build upwards and create new possibilities for students and the wider community.
The project renewed the building’s exterior and created an opportunity to transform unused attic space and refurbish the second floor. The new interiors complement the building’s original stonework, combining contemporary learning environments with bespoke Victorian-inspired art features and carefully designed air systems suited to the heritage setting.
The Space Mountain project team included Square Feet as architect, Differentia Design Management (DDM) for mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, Symmetrys for structural engineering and Steadberry Restoration Ltd as construction contractor.
The new spaces will give us much more room for group work, revision and collaborative projects. I particularly love the lounge, which is a great setting for student society meetings, discussions and informal exchanges. Having access to more classrooms should also help us stay focused and productive when working. More broadly, the new floor makes the campus feel more engaging and motivating, encouraging us to spend more time at school, get involved in student life and feel inspired to achieve more.

Supporting ESCP’s Bold & United strategy
The London estate masterplan is part of ESCP’s wider growth and development under its Bold & United strategy. ESCP aims to become the first European University of Management by 2030, with 12,500 students across its campuses. The School has announced a €320 million investment in the renovation and acquisition of its historic European campuses, including London.
Our estate strategy is about creating campuses that can evolve with ESCP’s ambitions while making the most of the buildings and heritage we already have. The London project is a strong example of this approach: adapting existing spaces in a thoughtful and sustainable way to meet changing needs. Across Europe, our investment is focused on creating resilient, future-ready campuses that support new ways of learning, working and collaborating.
Anne VuongExecutive Director of Real Estate at ESCP
Alongside the estate masterplan, ESCP is strengthening its academic presence in the UK. In 2024, the School was granted Full Degree Awarding Powers, while the London Campus is preparing to contribute to ESCP’s new School of Technology through the MSc in Product Management for Technology, launching in September 2027.
The opening comes as ESCP has been shortlisted for Business School of the Year at the Times Higher Education Awards 2026. As the London Campus continues to grow, the estate masterplan will support its students, faculty and partners in the years ahead, strengthening ESCP’s position among the UK’s leading business schools.
