Alessia Menichetti joined ESCP in September 2025 as Assistant Professor of Finance, after graduating with a Ph.D. in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in June 2025. She also holds a double-degree M.Sc.—in Finance from Bocconi University and in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University — and a B.Sc. in International Economics, Management, and Finance from Bocconi University. 

Her research is primarily theoretical, focusing on asset pricing, market microstructure and household finance. She is primarily interested in exploring how the financial decisions of retail investors and households are influenced by the information they receive, under both full and bounded rationality, as well as the impact on markets of the decisions of individual investors.

Before joining the Ph.D. program at SSE, she worked as a trainee in the Monetary Analysis division (DG Monetary Policy) at the European Central Bank and in the Treasury and Asset Management Unit (DG ECFIN) at the European Commission.
