Dr. Gaia Giambastiani is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at ESCP Business School.

She is a behavioral scientist studying consumer behavior and decision-making. Gaia’s research focuses on information exchange, gossip, authenticity, and decision biases. Her research has been published in the Journal of Marketing and Business Strategy and the Environment. Her work has also been presented at leading academic conferences, including the Association for Consumer Research, the Society for Consumer Psychology, AMA Academic Conferences, Marketing Science, and the European Marketing Academy.

Before joining ESCP, Gaia was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). She obtained her PhD in Business Administration and Management with a major in Marketing at Bocconi University in Milan in 2020. Further, Gaia was a visiting scholar at the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business in 2018.
