Dr. Koutsovoulou is an Associate Professor in the Management Department. She is currently the Dean of the Faculty and the co-director of the Corporate Chair Leadership for Business Transformation.
With more than twenty years of experience at ESCP, where she has held positions at the intersection of academic leadership, teaching, research, corporate chairs, and executive education, she has in-depth knowledge of the institution, its programs, its campuses, and its academic dynamics.
Her academic expertise lies primarily in the fields of negotiation, leadership, and organisational behaviour, with a particular focus on the topics of trust and identity. Through her teaching, research, and academic mentoring, she has helped train numerous students, managers, and executives, guiding them to develop a negotiation approach and leadership style suited to contemporary challenges. Her human-centric approach combines academic rigour, an understanding of organisational realities, and a focus on the human and collective dimensions of transformation.
In addition to her academic activities, drawing on her extensive experience in executive education and in coaching executives, Maria Koutsovoulou has been working since 1999 with organisations facing challenges related to transformation, cooperation, and team engagement. Her international background, her involvement in European coordination, and her experience in academic life enable her to bridge perspectives, departments, and profiles in pursuit of a shared vision. She thus applies her expertise to foster responsible, unifying, and sustainable leadership, grounded in clarity, trust, and collective commitment.
