ESCP Sustainability Manifesto
Ten principles guiding our approach to sustainability
As an institution preparing leaders for a world reshaped by climate change, social disruption and technological transformation, ESCP has a responsibility to be clear about what we stand for, what we demand of ourselves and how we believe management education must evolve.
This manifesto sets out that position in ten principles that shape how we approach education, research, partnerships and our own institutional choices.
It was developed in dialogue with our Sustainability Advisory Council, which brings together leaders from science, business, policy and civil society. The Council was created to help us realise our sustainability vision, all while challenging its assumptions, widening its scope, and holding ESCP accountable for the standards we have set.

Our principles in practice
Sustainability is embedded in how we educate, from BSc to PhD, with 100% of students engaging with ecological and social challenges through the curriculum and dedicated initiatives like Designing Tomorrow. We connect knowledge with action through the Sustainability Institute and ESCP RESET, while measuring our environmental impact and enabling accountability through the Développement Durable et Responsabilité Sociétale (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) label and our Sustainability Advisory Council. We extend our impact beyond ESCP through partnerships including ChangeNOW, connecting students and faculty with wider networks working to advance the sustainability transition.
