Pramuan Bunkanwanicha serves as the Dean of Faculty and a Full Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School. He specializes in teaching Corporate Finance, Emerging Markets Finance, and International Finance. From 2017 to 2023, he served as Associate Dean for Research, playing a key role in strengthening the school’s academic reputation and achievements.
Pramuan’s research focuses broadly on corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on family businesses, political connections, and emerging markets. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, and the Journal of Comparative Economics.
Before joining ESCP Business School, Pramuan was a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School and Yale University. He also served as a visiting professor at Boston College and Hitotsubashi University.
He earned his Doctorate in Economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2006 and an Habilitation in Management Sciences (Finance) from Université Paris-Dauphine in 2013. He also holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok in Thailand.
