Team London: Sports at ESCP London Campus

Explore sports at ESCP Business School London and join our vibrant student community on and off the field.

With the new academic year just around the corner, this is the perfect time for students to explore the extracurricular opportunities that enrich the ESCP student experience. Sports are a key part of life at our London Campus: helping you stay active, connect with others, and develop skills that will serve you well both personally and professionally.

ESCP London Campus is a member of the British University and College Sports (BUCS) league, offering regular matches against other UK universities and colleges to keep the competitive spirit alive beyond the classroom.

For students, joining a sports society at ESCP means having the opportunity to be part of a team, training and playing regular competitive fixtures against their peers from London universities such as UCL, KCL, City and St George's.

Sport is a great way to bring students together socially and to develop both new and existing skills. Playing competitively also provides the chance to build a real ‘Team ESCP’ identity and sense of belonging, as well as forming links with other students and universities across London – and, of course, with our wider community at the Intercampus Games.

2024/25 Team London Sports Highlights at a glance

Last year, Team London participated in many exciting competitions and sporting opportunities. Our students trained, competed, and represented the campus across a wide range of disciplines, both locally in the UK and on the international stage at the ESCP Intercampus Games in Paris.

  • Football: Men’s and Women’s teams trained weekly, playing in both fast-paced 5-a-side leagues and classic 11-a-side matches. Both teams proudly represented ESCP at the Campus Games.

  • Basketball: Our Men’s team competed in a London league and played friendlies against other universities. The Women’s team trained intensively for the Campus Games, showing incredible commitment.

  • Volleyball: Two mixed teams competed weekly in local leagues, with both men’s and women’s squads heading to the Campus Games.

  • Table Tennis & Badminton: Table Tennis drew 64 students into a campus-wide competition, while our Badminton players trained weekly in mixed doubles. Both sports sent teams to the Campus Games.

  • Running Club: From casual runs in Hyde Park to the London Landmarks Half Marathon, the Running Club offered three levels to suit everyone. Students also raised money for charity and teamed up with runners from LSE.

  • New in 2024/25: Students even launched a brand-new Boxing Society – proof that if your sport isn’t on the list, you can start it here.

…and that’s alongside many more activities like tennis, yoga, motorsport, and more.
