Empowering future financial leaders with real-world tools and global insight

ESCP Business School has unveiled a major enhancement to its educational offering with the inauguration of a new Training & Trading Room at the Turin Campus. Developed with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, this high-tech facility bridges the gap between theory and real-world practice, equipping students with cutting-edge tools to navigate today’s dynamic financial landscape.

The new Training & Trading Room joins a network of similar facilities at ESCP’s campuses in London and Paris, reinforcing the School’s commitment to a multicampus, multicultural approach to business education. It is now one of the few spaces of its kind in Italy, marking Turin as a key European hub for advanced finance training.

Real-Time Data, Real-World Decisions

Equipped with 12 Bloomberg Terminals, the Training & Trading Room provides direct access to live market data, analytical tools, and electronic trading platforms used by top financial professionals globally. Students will gain hands-on experience simulating investment decisions, developing portfolio strategies, and exploring financial analytics, skills that are increasingly in demand across the finance industry.

The opportunity to engage with real-world data and explore the dynamics of financial markets is essential for students of finance, as it allows for a meaningful integration of theory and practice,” explains Professor Alberta Di Giuli, Dean of ESCP Business School Turin Campus. “This new Training & Trading Room enhances the learning experience by making it more interactive and aligned with a constantly evolving economic landscape. I strongly supported its establishment in order to provide our students with the opportunities and critical skills needed to address the challenges of both today and the future.

A Strategic Investment in Experiential Learning

The room is more than a technological upgrade, it represents a strategic step in redefining business education through experiential learning. Integrated progressively into programmes including the Bachelor in Management, Master in Management, MBA in International Management, Executive Master in Strategic Finance, and the upcoming MSc in Financial Innovation and Technology, the facility will benefit students across multiple disciplines.

International faculty and seasoned finance professionals will guide students through the use of Bloomberg’s advanced tools, fostering a deep understanding of global markets and cultivating analytical acumen.

Bridging Academia and Industry

The initiative received decisive backing from Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, a long-time advocate for educational innovation.
The contemporary learning ecosystem demands environments that function both as theoretical learning spaces and as laboratories for practical experimentation,” states Marco Gilli, President of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. “By supporting this project, we are committed to promoting systemic change within Italy’s educational landscape, empowering new generations with the tools to actively and consciously contribute to the country’s economic and social transformation.

This support underlines the importance of academia-industry collaboration in preparing future professionals for the demands of a rapidly evolving financial world.

Turin as a Talent Magnet for Finance

With over 26% of ESCP students choosing finance for their internships, and more than 53% of Master in Management graduates launching careers in the financial sector, finance remains one of the School’s most attractive and high-performing domains.

The Training & Trading Room cements ESCP Turin Campus’s role as a launchpad for finance careers, fostering employability and enabling students to compete globally with a practical, data-driven education.
As part of the School’s long-term development strategy, the room will also host extracurricular initiatives, workshops, and research, offering an immersive educational experience that nurtures future-ready professionals.
