On March 15th, Groupe Renault and more than 70 other international guests and students took part in the round-table and the panel discussion about "managing international talent: the challenge of bridging cultures" organised by ESCP’s Talent Management Institute at the school’s Berlin campus.

The d-day

In the afternoon

In the afternoon, more than 20 top Human Resources (HR) and talent management decision-makers from Germany and the UK, including Renault, the corporate partner of ESCP’s recently founded Groupe Renault Chair for Intercultural Management, joined the Talent Management Institute’s exclusive round-table on global talent management.

In the evening

In the evening, the chair’s scientific director, ESCP Professor Marion Festing, and the panel members representing Babbel, Schneider Electric and Bombardier Transportation discussed some of the challenges and best practices associated with identifying, recruiting and managing multicultural and diverse talent pools, as well as finding a balance between global standardization and local adaption of talent management practices.

Kay Foster comments

Renault Deutschland Human Resources Manager Kay Forster actively participated in the workshop (see picture above).

"The discussion with HR colleagues from multinationals as well as smaller start-ups helped us get a better and broader view of future challenges concerning global talent management, commented Kay Forster, Human Resources Manager at Renault Deutschland. We at Renault strongly believe that a consistent global talent management system is key for future success in our industry, which is facing huge changes. However, the way we execute our global talent management strategy at the local level will definitely make the difference".

Groupe Renault is a very active partner of ESCP, throughout all of the school’s campuses.
Early in March, MBA students from Berlin, London, Paris and Madrid worked with executives from Groupe Renault in a 3-day Business Game simulation.
