ESCP alumnus Frédéric Genta will help mobilise alumni, companies, foundations and partners around the School’s first major fundraising campaign, supporting a €100 million ambition by 2029
A major fundraising campaign asks a community to believe in where an institution is going. For the ESCP Foundation, the #RisingTogether campaign is designed to support a new stage in the School’s development: one that strengthens academic excellence, expands access to talent and accelerates innovation in management education.
To help lead this effort, Frédéric Genta, ESCP alumnus, class of 2005, has been appointed by the ESCP Foundation Board of Directors as Chair of the #RisingTogether Campaign Committee. “My mission is simple: to help mobilise our community in order to reach the ambitious goal of raising €100 million by 2029,” he says.
In this new role, he will work with Jean-Stéphane Arcis (85), Chairman of the ESCP Foundation, Brynhild Dumas, Executive Director of the ESCP Foundation, Khalila Hassouna, Campaign Coordinator to engage alumni, companies, foundations and strategic partners around a shared mission that will shape ESCP’s next chapter.

A driving force behind ESCP’s next chapter
The #RisingTogether campaign will give ESCP the means to strengthen its academic model, widen access to education and invest in the future of management. Funds raised will support scholarships, faculty and research, modern campuses and academic chairs that position ESCP at the forefront of major transformations, from artificial intelligence to sustainability.
The campaign also contributes to the School’s Bold & United strategy, which aims to make ESCP the European University of Management by 2030, with the additions of the School of Technology and the School of Governance.
For Frédéric Genta, who is also a member of ESCP’s International Advisory Board and an affiliate professor at ESCP, this moment matters because ESCP is defining the role a European management school can play in a changing world. “ESCP stands at a genuine turning point,” he says. “European management education has never mattered more.”
Beyond giving the means to accelerate its next phase of development, the campaign will allow ESCP to strengthen a distinctive European model at the intersection of business, technology, governance and the common good. “I believe in Europe,” he says. “I am convinced that we have a role to play in building a strong continent.”
The campaign has already gathered significant momentum. By early 2026, €50 million had been raised. The next phase will focus on widening the circle of support, strengthening donor engagement and activating a network of ambassadors able to open doors for the School.

Building on a legacy of engagement
This appointment is the latest expression of Frédéric Genta’s active commitment to ESCP. During his time in the Master in Management programme, he was an active member of the Student Union and class delegate. He contributed to the early development of the ESCP Foundation, and more recently, he helped organise the 20th anniversary of his graduating class.
His commitment has also taken institutional form. In 2019, he initiated the creation of the Professorship in Real Estate Technology and Innovation, developed with the Principality of Monaco and ESCP’s Madrid Campus. The initiative was officially announced during the visit of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco to ESCP’s République Campus, where he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa.
“ESCP has had a profound impact on my life,” says Frédéric Genta. “It opened doors, provided me with an outstanding education, introduced me to an exceptional network and gave me an international outlook that continues to shape my journey today.”
That journey has taken him from roles at Orange, Google and Amazon, before he was appointed to the Government of Monaco by H.S.H. Prince Albert II in 2018, in charge of Attractiveness, Economic Development and Digital Transformation. Today, he is Partner and Head of Europe at Azura Partners. His support for #RisingTogether reflects a desire to help future generations benefit from the same opportunities, networks and international outlook that shaped his own dynamic path.
Opening doors for others
A sense of gratitude is central to Frédéric Genta’s commitment to #RisingTogether. The campaign is not only about supporting academic development, research or infrastructure. It is also a way to make opportunity more accessible to talented students, whatever their social background.
“Today, I am grateful to the School,” says Frédéric Genta, “and I want, in turn, to help open those doors for others.” Raised in Monaco in a family of entrepreneurs in the watchmaking industry, Frédéric Genta describes ESCP as the place that opened up a new world to him: business, international exposure and community.
“We must make it easier for candidates who may not have the necessary resources, because of their social background, to access recognised programmes,” he says. “That is also what impact means.”
A call to the ESCP community
#RisingTogether comes at a decisive moment for ESCP. Philanthropy offers a way to accelerate projects that will shape the future of the School and extend its impact beyond it.
Frédéric Genta has witnessed first hand how alumni engagement can support academic excellence, strengthen institutions and create opportunities for future generations. “I believe ESCP has the potential to become a European reference for leaders trained at the intersection of business, technology and governance.”
That ambition can only be realised with the support of the wider ESCP community. “The success of #RisingTogether depends above all on the mobilisation of an entire community,” he says. “Each of us has a role to play through financial support, but also by talking about the campaign, opening doors and sharing our enthusiasm for ESCP.”
ESCP’s next chapter will be shaped by those ready to invest in what comes next.
