ESCP ranks 23rd globally, reflecting the international reach of its faculty-authored cases.

ESCP has ranked 23rd worldwide in The Case Centre Impact Index 2026, climbing one place from 2025 and strengthening its position among the top 25 institutions for the reach and influence of their teaching cases.

The annual index measures the global adoption of teaching cases, taking into account the number of cases used, the institutions and countries adopting them, and the students they reach.

Achieving this result is particularly meaningful because the Impact Index reflects how widely our cases are adopted by educators around the world. It highlights the international reach of ESCP’s faculty-authored cases and their contribution to management education.

A portfolio of award-winning ESCP-authored cases

ESCP’s portfolio includes more than 60 faculty-authored cases listed with The Case Centre, including six prize-winning cases. They explore management challenges across crisis management, digital transformation, finance, cross-cultural management, entrepreneurship, innovation and luxury.

The prize-winning cases include:

  • Driving Digital Transformation at Faurecia, co-authored by Martin Kupp;
  • Louis Vuitton: New Product Introductions vs Product Availability, co-authored by Valérie Moatti;
  • Moving Tomorrow – A Cultural Journey, co-authored by Marion Festing and Tobias Schumacher;
  • Prada’s Hong Kong IPO, co-authored by Alberta Di Giuli;
  • TecSalud’s Response to COVID-19, co-authored by Ezequiel Reficco; and
  • The Acquisition Experiences of KazOil, co-authored by Maral Muratbekova-Touron.

ESCP faculty have also earned recognition for advancing the case method itself. In 2025, Martin Kupp received The Case Centre’s Outstanding Contribution to the Case Method Award, alongside Urs Mueller of SDA Bocconi. Together, they have trained more than 1,300 educators through over 80 workshops worldwide and co-authored The Ultimate Case Guide, published in 2024.

A well-written case can reach thousands of students and executives across dozens of countries, sometimes for years or even decades. Case writing offers a valuable way to bring research into management education and make academic knowledge accessible to people who can apply it in practice.

Supporting excellence in case writing across ESCP

Launched in 2023, the Case Project (CaP) @ ESCP supports faculty authors across the School’s European campuses. The initiative provides research funding, editorial guidance, expert review and proofreading, helping faculty develop teaching cases while encouraging collaboration and the exchange of expertise.

ESCP-authored cases are available through platforms including The Case Centre and Harvard Business Publishing. The School’s dedicated Case Collection on The Case Centre brings its cases together in one institutional portal, making it easier for educators worldwide to discover and adopt teaching materials developed by ESCP faculty.

The Case Project has helped us build on the work of our faculty authors and strengthen support for case development across ESCP. Three years after its launch, reaching 23rd place in the Impact Index is an encouraging recognition of our progress and motivates us to continue developing this work.
