Born and raised in Spain, Sebastian López Valladares graduated with a BA in Philology from the University of the Basque Country. He continued his studies in France, earning a Master's degree in French Language and Literature at Université Denis Diderot – Paris 7 and a Master's degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle – Paris 3.
In September 2020, he earned his doctorate with a thesis on sustainable cultural policies and management at Universidad de País Vasco – UPV.
He has taught Spanish-American culture and civilisations, as well as Spanish, at various higher education establishments in Paris, including ISG, ESCE, and Celsa – Université Sorbonne Paris.
