Business, Society and Human Values: Leadership, Responsibility and Decision-Making in Times of Technological and Geopolitical Change

Artificial intelligence, geopolitical tensions, climate transition and changing societal expectations are reshaping the conditions in which organisations operate. The seventh edition of the ESCP Impact Papers brings together research from across ESCP to examine how leaders, businesses and institutions can respond to these shifts while preserving human judgement, responsibility and values.

Published by the ESCP Research Institute of Management (ERIM), this year's edition brings together 54 Impact Papers under the theme Business, Society and Human Values: Leadership, Responsibility and Decision-Making in Times of Technological and Geopolitical Change.

The contributions span ESCP's six LIGhTS research pillars — Leadership, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Geopolitics, Humanities, Technology and Sustainability — and draw on research from across the School's disciplines and campuses.

Human beings play a key role in sustaining democratic systems and in maintaining a knowledge production process in which human voices and ethical values remain central. These reflections are essential to ensuring a plurality of voices that question ongoing issues and ultimately bring new ways of thinking to society.

What’s inside this edition

The papers explore questions that are already shaping decisions in business and society:
