Admiral is a UK based insurance company, set up in 1993 to specialise in Car Insurance. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive for their office in Rome, Italy.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for talented candidates for the role of Business Development Executive in our Operations in Rome (ConTe.it, both permanent position and internship). You will work as an in-house consultant working on core projects in different areas of the business (Marketing, Operations, Claims, HR, etc.) and supporting the Team of Business Development Managers. 

To pursue our ambitious growth strategy (launching new products, entering new markets...) we are looking for people with a strong entrepreneurial spirit who will take ownership from day one and give everything to their projects in order to make a meaningful and sustainable impact. 

You will collaborate with the Business Development Managers in your team as well as Senior Managers across the business and the wider Group to provide advice, well-considered strategy, detailed planning and disciplined execution. 

This role is excellent preparation for a talented individual to take a leadership role in the future. In fact, the next step for this role could be involved in managing a team or function in the Company.


Projects scope includes: 

  • Supporting in-country management teams with specific business issues 
  • Helping evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives 
  • Exploring new ideas and assessing their potential to become new products/services 
  • Acting independently and in a very entrepreneurial way to determine methods and procedures on new assignments 
  • Structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations

  • Analytical and strategic skills 
  • Fluent in English (Italian, French or Spanish would be a plus)
  • Highly pragmatic and results-oriented 
  • Curious and creative with a “start-up” mentality 
  • Proactive and passionate about making things happen 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Ability to integrate with both management and Admiral culture 
  • Personality and a sense of humour (we believe work should be fun!) 
  • Basic programming skills in one of these: Python, Matlab, R, VBA, SQL, C++
