Peter is a seasoned practitioner. His main focus is on innovation strategy and the collaboration of established companies with external innovation ecosystems like startups, VCs and high-tech companies. He has in-depth expertise on the governance hereby involved and the implied cultural challenges. 

Peter advises large enterprises and medium-sized world market leaders on digital issues and has supported numerous companies in bringing successful startup programs to market. 

He was CEO of Allianz X (VC and Company Builder of the Allianz Group), founder and head of hub:raum (the global seed VC and incubator of Deutsche Telekom) and held various other senior management positions within Deutsche Telekom. 

He is Affiliate Professor for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Strategy at ESCP Business School Paris. 

For several years he served on the Digital Advisory Council of the German Federal Government. Peter Borchers is a successful angel investor, keynote speaker, and author. 

Peter is part of BMW Foundation’s global network of „Responsible Leaders“ and was named one of the Top 20 Digital Experts in Germany by Manager Magazin.
