Alain Ollivier is Emeritus Professor in the Marketing Department at the ESCP Europe Paris Campus. He has been the Scientific Director of the Johnson & - Johnson Health Care Management Chair at ESCP Europe and the Scientific Director of the Health Care Management Specialized Master at ESCP Europe
Professor Ollivier holds a Doctorate in Management from the University of Rennes, France (1978) and a graduate degree from HEC (France) and from the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Texas at Austin.
He is a former Dean of Faculty of ESCP Europe (1989-1994). He was a Special Advisor for the French Ministry of International Trade for 8 years.
Pr. Ollivier is a consultant and has worked for the World Bank, ILO and many multinational companies such as Vinci, Snecma, Eurovia, Sanofi-Aventis, Etam, EDF…
His current research interests are in the field of Heath Care Management, with a focus on the new status of patients, the Marketing process in technology driven companies, and on issues of Marketing control.
He is the author or co-author of several books and numerous articles on Marketing, the latest being Le Marketeur, nouveaux fondements du marketing, Pearson Education, 2006 (2nd edition) and Le marketing du médicament en question(s), Vuibert 2008
