'Living in a Transformational World' was led by Prof. Philippe Gabilliet.

Its aim was to provide our 50 M2 students with an opportunity to consider the personal transformation they have each experienced during the Master in Management programme and reflect on how they can leverage this to become transformative agents themselves in the organisations they will manage in the future.

It was also an opportunity to illustrate, through their transformational presentation, their capacity to integrate and put into perspective some of the knowledge acquired during their years at ESCP.

Prof. Gabilliet first delivered a talk on the Personal Journey Towards Transformation, addressing:

  • The key ingredients of life: environment, relationships, self

  • The Four Ways of Self-Transformation: through strengths, through creativity, through self-care and through the unexpected

Participants were then divided into groups of 8 to work on a presentation on the theme of transformation. Teams chose the following titles:

  • How is it possible to keep the balance between professional and personal life in today's ever transforming and demanding world?
Team 'The Balancers' & Team 'The Transformers'

  • What will student life be like at ESCP (London campus) in 2028?
Team 'Transformational Transformers' & Team 'Homo Sapiens'

  • Is there a "European way" of managing company transformation?
    Team 'EUnicorns'

  • How does Game of Thrones illustrate corporate transformation?
    Team 'The Unsullied'

MIM alumna Melanie Merlet was invited to talk to students about her story after ESCP, including working for Microsoft, completing an MBA at Stanford, and joining a start-up in London. Students found her contribution inspirational and motivational.
