On Friday, 14th March 2025, 400 students, staff, faculty and partners came together at the 20th Anniversary Student Gala in London.

The event celebrated the success of the ESCP London Campus at the beautiful Landmark London Hotel.

The Annual Student Gala is the highlight of the social life at ESCP London Campus, and this year’s event was particularly special, marking ESCP’s 20th anniversary in London. Established in the UK in 1973, ESCP was initially based in Oxford before relocating to London for the start of the 2004/05 academic year.

Expertly hosted by an ESCP staff-student duo, Prof Ben Voyer, a Cartier Chaired Professor of Behavioural Science at ESCP Business School, and Matteo Girelli, a Master in Management student, the event welcomed a record number of students from eight different programmes and guests from Paris and Madrid, celebrating many achievements and successes of the London community over the last year.

The London Gala is a platform where our community showcases its inner strength and excellence through glamour, warmth, creativity, and collective celebration. It has been a pleasure to join students, faculty, and staff at this memorable event, strengthening our bonds.

The event started with a Champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner with an opening speech by Prof Kamran Razmdoost, Dean of ESCP Business School London Campus. In his remarks, Prof Razmdoost reflected on the key ESCP milestones over the last year: receiving the UK Degree Awarding Powers, winning the Independent Higher Education Award for Empowering Student Voice, and maintaining strong ranking performances across the full programme portfolio.

With student community recognition and celebration at the heart of the event, another highlight was the announcement of the winners of two highly anticipated student awards - Company Consultancy Project of the Year and the Student Society of the Year.

All ESCP programmes at the London Campus incorporate a consulting project for a real client, allowing students to tackle real business challenges. Projects were evaluated based on team performance, client satisfaction and feedback, as well as the overall impact and approach. Presented by Prof Peter Stephenson Wright, the 2025 award for the Company Consultancy Project of the Year was given to Master in Management Year 2 students on a Business Consulting specialisation track and their work with IFI Claims. The team of five students - Ruofan Pi, Xinyi Zhao, Luca Tissone, Carolina Primerano, and Harshit Agarwal - demonstrated an exceptional understanding of the client's needs and niche market dynamics, providing strong recommendations for evaluating the potential success and feasibility of a new patent drafting tool for the US market.

The second award of the evening, in the Student Society of the Year category, went to Blue Factory London Society. It was presented by the London Student Experience team, Ruby Gooders and Thuany Demuner, who commended the Blue Factory London Society for their remarkable impact on the London Campus and our local community. With more than 300 votes cast and 40 societies in the running, the Blue Factory London Society showed the true embodiment of ESCP spirit and creativity, bringing innovative approaches to community-building and student life at the London Campus. The award was accepted by Matteo Girelli and Anita Athary.

Being the 20th anniversary of the ESCP London Gala, this year’s event was extra special. Looking back at how it has evolved over the years, it’s incredible to see how it has become such a meaningful occasion for students from all programmes to come together, celebrate being a part of ESCP, and reflect on their achievements and the connections they’ve made over the past year. The event was a true testament to the ESCP spirit.

Building on the excitement of the evening, a surprise cheerleader performance by Scarlett Entertainment created a spectacular atmosphere. This bold and creative performance brought a dynamic energy to the black-tie Gala, making it a truly unique experience that elevated the spirit of the evening.

Following dinner, the celebration continued on the dance floor until 1am with a special DJ set by Alexis Van Lennep.

The Gala was an unforgettable night, exceeding all expectations with its elegance and atmosphere. As my time at ESCP comes to an end, I appreciate these experiences more than ever. Beyond academics, it’s moments like these—shared with friends who have been such a big part of my journey—that truly define my time here. Ending this chapter in such a beautiful setting made it even more special.
