Didier Marteau is a Professor of economics at ESCP Europe. He holds two Doctorates from the University Paris Dauphine (Management Science and Economics). He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po). For many years he has researched the field of financial derivatives - his current research focuses on environmental finance (weather derivatives, CO2 emissions allowances markets). He has written numerous articles and books on capital markets. He is a member of the French Political Economy Society and a member of the steering committee for PRMIA (Professional International Risk Management Association) in France.
Professor Marteau works part time for Aon France, where he is the Head of research and development in the “Financial, Commodity and Weather Risk Management” department. Before joining Aon in June 2006, he worked for Bank Indosuez in the capital market department.
Didier Marteau also teaches on Doctoral programs at the Paris-Dauphine University and Paris-Sorbonne University.
