A doctor of philosophy and graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, Gabrielle Halpern worked in the offices of the Minister of the Economy and Finance, the Secretary of State for Trade, Craft Trades, Consumer Affairs and the Social and Solidarity Economy, the Secretary of State for Research and Higher Education and the Keeper of the Seals, Minister of Justice, as ‘Adviser on Foresight and Discourse’, before co-directing a start-up incubator and advising companies and public institutions.

She is an associate expert at the Fondation Jean Jaurès and heads the ‘Hybridations’ collection she created at Editions de l'Aube.

In 2021, at the age of 34, she made the front page of the French business newspaper L'Opinion as one of its ‘intellectual influencers’. In 2024, she was awarded the ‘Les Lauréates’ prize created by Elle magazine and La Tribune newspaper to honour ‘Thirty women who are transforming society and the economy’.

Her research work, including her doctoral thesis, focuses in particular on the notion of hybridisation, as a means of building bridges between worlds, which she explores in many fields, whether it's in the field of business or the economy.
