# Geopolitical Risk
Led by Sara Bertin, the Geopolitical Risk project seeks to deepen understanding of the growing impact of geopolitical developments on business decision-making while strengthening dialogue between academia and the private sector.
By combining conceptual research, applied analysis and engagement with economic actors, the project aims to provide a clearer framework for understanding geopolitical risk, its different forms, and the ways in which it can be assessed and integrated into corporate strategy. It also seeks to contribute to the development of practical analytical tools informed by academic research and grounded in the realities faced by companies.
A key component of the project is the organisation of a conference, in December 2026, bringing together academics and business leaders to foster exchanges between these two communities and strengthen the bridge between academic research and real-world decision-making.
In preparation for this event, the Institute has engaged with representatives from the private sector to better understand companies' expectations, challenges and questions regarding geopolitical risk, ensuring that the discussions address the issues most relevant to practitioners.
