The Lombard Odier Case - From WILD to CLIC

Marie Owens, Head of Global Trends and Sustainability at Lombard Odier, will explain the bank's ESG policy, its application in practice and how its impact is measured.

Lombard Odier is a Swiss private bank

  • Product offering centered on listed and public assets: bonds, equities, and funds, while having a more limited offering in private equity, debt, and real estate.

  • It introduced ESG into the investment process during 1997 and progressively improved its ESG scoring methodology by weighing the various factors included in the process in terms of their material impact on the sector and firm in question.

  • Lombard Odier now goes beyond ESG and develops new and forward-looking indicators. This work underpins the development of the current investment solutions offering,  including the Climate Transition Bond Fund and the Natural Capital Fund, which allow investors to deploy their assets and be part of the effort to “green” finance
