Overview

The Designing Europe 2025 seminar, organised as part of the Master in Management programme at ESCP Business School, will bring together students, policymakers, business leaders, and institutional stakeholders to engage in a high-level simulation game on the EU legislative process.

Hosted at the European Parliament in Brussels, this event will explore the economic and technological competitiveness of the European Union. Participants will gain hands-on experience in EU policymaking by drafting position papers and a final resolution, debating key topics, and engaging in structured negotiations.

The event will culminate in a plenary session, where resolutions will be voted on, providing participants with unique insights into EU decision-making and governance.

Programme

Day 1 – March 10, 2025

Location: European Parliament Committee Rooms

11:30 AM – 2:00 PM | Check-in & Accreditation

  • Mandatory security and accreditation process for all participants.

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Workshop Per Delegation

  • Introduction and supervision by the event coach.
  • Speaker briefing on key economic and technological challenges in the EU.
  • Delegation debates & drafting of resolutions/positions in parliamentary committees.

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Rapporteurs, Presidents & Spokespersons' Meeting

  • Introduction by Yves Bertoncini (Pedagogic Coordinator).
  • Briefing on speaking points & document finalisation for the plenary session.

Day 2 – March 11, 2025

9:30 AM – 12:30 PM | Plenary Session & Resolution Vote

  • Opening & Chairing by Yves Bertoncini.
  • Presentation of draft positions (Business, NGO, Institutional actors).
  • Debates & voting on amendments and resolutions.
  • Final vote on the resolution.
  • Closing address by Léon Laulusa (Executive President & Dean, ESCP).

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM | Security Check-in
