Yves Bertoncini is a European and public affairs consultant, speaker and lecturer. 

In 2017, he founded the consulting company "YB2i Consulting", which enables its clients to strengthen their analytical and influencing capacities in European Affairs, by understanding and shaping the evolution of the European economic and political debate, in Brussels and in the EU national capitals.

He is an affiliated professor at ESCP Business School, where he is the pedagogical coordinator of #Designing Europe and the Public Affairs specialization, and teaches at Corps des Mines, where he leads the Europe  seminar. He has taught European issues at the Paris School of International Affairs (2018-21), at the College of Europe in Bruges (2016-19) and at the École Nationale d’Administration (2007-09) and EU and International affairs at Sciences Po Paris (2001-2011).

He is the author of numerous books articles and policy papers on European questions, focusing in particular on European politics, institutions, democracy, member states and citizenship. He speaks regularly in European conferences and seminars and is frequently interviewed and invited by French, European & International media (www.yvesbertoncini.eu).

He is Vice-President of the European Movement International since 2017 and has been President of the “Mouvement Européen-France” between 2016 and 2022.

Yves Bertoncini has been director of the Jacques Delors Institute between 2011 and 2017.

He has worked in the office of the French prime minister with responsibility for research on Europe at the Centre d’Analyse Stratégique/France Stratégie (2006-09), and as political adviser to the Secretary general of European affairs (2010-11).

He was Head of international affairs at the French Insurance Association (2002-05) and Director of studies at the Conseil de Coopération Economique (2005-06).

He has worked for the French ministry of Foreign affairs, on the organisation of the “national dialogue for  Europe” (1995-97) and at the French embassy in Algiers (1992-93).

He was an administrator at the European Commission, where he has worked at the Directorates-General “Education, Training, Youth” and “Regional Policy” (1998-2001).

Yves Bertoncini holds degrees from the Institut d’Études Politiques in Grenoble and the College of Europe in Bruges. He has also studied at Sciences Po Paris and at the University of California in Berkeley.
