Carolin Waldner is an Assistant Professor of Sustainability Management.
Carolin’s research focuses on social entrepreneurship, sustainable development and innovation in nonprofit management. She is particularly interested in questions around organizational tensions, social evaluations (esp. reputation), and individual mindsets and well-being of social purpose leaders. Carolin's research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, including Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, and Nonprofit & Voluntary Sector Quarterly.
Before joining ESCP, Carolin was a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Sustainability Management at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf. She obtained her doctoral degree from Hamburg University in 2019 and has been a visiting scholar at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), Copenhagen Business School (CBS), and San Francisco State University (SFSU).
