Drew Shagrin is a Permanent Affiliate Professor of Business Law at ESCP Business School in the department of Economics, Law and Humanities. At ESCP, his teaching covers a broad range of topics at the intersection of law and business, including contracts, company law, intellectual property, finance, and corporate governance. In addition, he teaches Corporate Governance & Ethics at the Sciences Po Paris School of Law.

His research focuses on corporate governance. He co-directs the Institute for Corporate Governance at ESCP and co-edits the corporate governance section of the International Business Law Journal.

A member of the Bar of the State of California, Drew practised transactions law there for nearly a decade, specialising in complex public-private partnership transactions and rising to partner in a San Francisco law firm. He also spent ten years as an entrepreneur in France.

Drew holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AB from Dartmouth College.
