Alejandro Ruiz is a Professor of Digital Transformation and Strategy Management at ESCP Business School. He lectures in several ESCP Master's programs, including the MBA, MIM, and MSc. Alejandro is currently the Scientific Director of the MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Academic Coordinator of the MIM and MBA International Business Consulting specializations. Previously, he served as the Bachelor in Management Academic Director at the Madrid campus, where he played a key role in establishing an international cooperation agreement with Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) in February 2020 to launch a Double Degree in Business Administration.

Alejandro has extensive experience in the information technology sector across industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, credit cards, technology, and cement. He has worked for leading global companies like British American Tobacco, American Express, Votorantim Cimentos, and CGI. As a Chief Information Officer, he has led IT departments across Europe (UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, and Malta), Asia (India and China), and Africa (Morocco and Tunisia).

Before joining ESCP, Alejandro taught at business schools such as ITBA (Argentina) and ESIC (Spain), where he covered topics like technology innovation, big data, and CRM.

Alejandro holds a degree in Forestry Engineering from Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Montes, Madrid University. He has also pursued postgraduate studies, including the PDD at IESE, the Developing and Implementing Information Systems Strategies program at Cranfield University, the IT Excellence Programme at Indiana University, the Management Excellence Programme at IMD Business School, and the Leadership Programme at BAT Horsley (UK).
