Alejandro Ruiz is a digital transformation and strategy management professor at ESCP Business School. He lectures in several ESCP Master's programs, such as the MBA, MIM, and MSc. Alejandro is currently the MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management scientific director and the academic coordinator of the MIM and MBA International Business Consulting specializations. He was also the Madrid Campus Bachelor in Management Academic Director. During this period, he was an active team member who defined and agreed on an international cooperation agreement with the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) - February 2020 - to strengthen their collaboration by creating a Double Degree in Business Administration.

His educational background is in Forestry Engineering (Escuela Superior de Ingenieros de Montes, Madrid University), and as a postgraduate development, he has pursued programmes such as PDD in IESE, Developing and Implementing Information Systems Strategies (Cranfield University), IT Excellence Programme (Indiana University), Management Excellence Programme (IMD Business School), and Leadership Programme BAT Horsley (UK).

Alejandro has extensive experience in the information technology area of fast-moving consumer goods, credit cards, technology, and cement industries. He has worked for leading global companies like British American Tobacco, American Express, Votorantim Cimentos, and CGI. As CIO, he has led IT departments in Europe (UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, and Malta), Asia (India and China), and Africa (Morocco and Tunisia).

He also taught in other business schools, such as the ITBA (Argentina) and ESIC (Spain), where he taught technology innovation, big data, and CRM, respectively, before becoming a teaching professor at ESCP Business School.
