Economist in a mutual banking group, Chair of the Strategy and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and independent director of the Réalités real estate group, advisor to the French foreign trade;
Cristina Peicuti foresaw the 2008 crisis, which was the subject of her thesis "The financial crisis and the credit channel" (Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, 2006-2009).
Co-author of the book "Understanding economic crises : fatality or necessity ?" (2022) with Jean-Marc Daniel, Professor emeritus at ESCP, she wrote "Credit, destabilization and crises" (2010) and "Now the 21st century can really begin !" (2021) with Jacques Beyssade.
She also wrote several articles such as "Securitization and the subprime mortgage crisis" in the Journal of Post Keynesian Economics (2013),"The Great Depression and the Great Recession : A Comparative Analysis of their Analogies" in the European Journal of Comparative Economics (2014) and "The Danger of the Trilemma for the International Monetary System" with Patrick Artus in the Revue d’économie financière (2017).
She teaches economics and finance at ESCP and with Francis Lefebvre.
