Maral Muratbekova-Touron is a Professor in the Department of Work and Human Relations at ESCP Business School, Paris Campus. She earned her PhD from HEC Paris in 2007 and her HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches, a postdoctoral qualification required to supervise PhD candidates in France) from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2014.

Her research has been published in leading international journals, including Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Learning & Education, Human Resource Management, and Journal of Business Ethics, among others.

Professor Muratbekova-Touron's scholarly interests focus on the complexities of managing across diverse cultural and institutional contexts, with particular attention to the role of informal networks and cultural nuances in human resource management. She is also interested in exploring new ways of working, as well as traditional forms of work, such as craftsmanship.She currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the European Management Journal.
