Francesco is an Assistant Professor in the Finance department at ESCP Business School. Francesco completed a PhD in Finance at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, with research visiting periods at Bocconi University, and Boston College.
His research investigates the role of financial intermediaries in the economy, with a special interest in housing markets, modern non-bank lending (e.g., FinTech), and corporate finance. His research has received multiple awards including the ECON JM Best Paper Runner-Up Award by UniCredit Foundation and EEA, the 10th SUERF/UniCredit Foundation Prize, the ERES Best Paper Award for the Refereed Session, and the FINEST Best Paper Award in Memory of Radha Gopalan.
Before joining ESCP, Francesco has worked at the Macroprudential Policies and Financial Stability Directorate of the European Central Bank, and at the Centre for Central Banking Studies of the Bank of England.
