Progress and Results of the #SUSTurismo Project
III International Meeting
It is with great pleasure that we share the key highlights of the III International Meeting of the SUSTurismo Project, held on November 29, 2024, within the scope of the Erasmus+ #SUSTurismo program. This event marked an important milestone in presenting the progress made in various areas of the project.
Commitment to Sustainability and Excellence in Education
The meeting reaffirmed our commitment to quality education, international collaboration (between universities, businesses, and local communities), and the positive impact on the communities involved in sustainable tourism in Angola and Cape Verde.
Event Highlights
1. Student Training The event began with the screening of a video showcasing the main achievements of WP2 - Student Training. It highlighted our institutions' commitment to providing high-quality training and presented the results achieved so far.
We were also privileged to witness testimonials from students in Cape Verde, who shared how the #SUSTurismo project has complemented their education by offering practical knowledge, safety, and preparation in sustainability.
The following key points were presented:
- Progress: Percentage of training completion.
- Impact: Success rates and participant feedback.
- Reach: Involvement of students from various backgrounds, including higher education institutions (HEIs) and external participants.
- Teaching Team: Methodologies applied and contributions from the instructors.
Additionally, we discussed suggestions and lessons learned to strengthen training in the upcoming cycles.
2. Communication Strategy We discussed the communication actions taken so far, such as campaigns that have increased the visibility of the project and engaged various audiences. These initiatives are essential to ensuring that the impact of #SUSTurismo transcends borders.
3. Quality Reports The results of the quality reports developed so far were presented. These tools have been crucial for assessing and improving internal processes, ensuring alignment with the project's objectives and the expectations of the beneficiaries.

The meeting was essential for consolidating our achievements and outlining the next steps:
- Continue strengthening student training.
- Expand strategic communication actions.
