On Monday, 10 February, ESCP Business School’s London Campus and the Blue Factory hosted its first external startup launch event for Adexa Labz, an AI and MedTech startup.
The event brought together industry leaders, students, entrepreneurs, and investors to celebrate the launch of Adexa Labz, which, after two years of refining its research and business strategy, is now preparing to embark on its fundraising journey.
A startup launch event is a unique opportunity for founders to showcase their vision, mission, and innovative solutions to their target audience. For attendees, it offers a chance to gain new insights, participate in relevant discussions, and become part of the story of a new venture.
The MedTech sector is growing because of demographic shifts, technological innovations, and the expansion of non-traditional care settings. Adexa Labz aims to tackle critical challenges in patient care, diagnostics, and medical efficiency by integrating cutting-edge AI with a strong focus on MedTech solutions.
The launch of Adexa Labz at ESCP Blue Factory is a testament to our commitment to supporting groundbreaking startups in London and across Europe. This event not only marks our first external startup launch on campus but also highlights the power of collaboration between students, entrepreneurs, and industry experts. Seeing Adexa Labz take this next step in their journey is exactly what Blue Factory is here for—connecting innovators with the right ecosystem to thrive.

The event started with a networking opportunity that transitioned into the signature ESCP Blue Factory format session—the Genius Circle—offering an entrepreneurial therapy chance to all volunteers ready to pitch their early-stage startup ideas.
Welcoming guests from ESCP Berlin Campus, the stage was given to the Executive Master in Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership students. Each student volunteer had a 3-minute slot to present a business challenge, ranging from business idea validation and acquiring their first customers to refining business models. They also each presented a question to the audience for real-time feedback.
Then, the spotlight turned to Adexa Labz, as co-founders Nike and Wayne presented their company's journey—from early-stage research to developing their AI-driven MedTech solutions. They shared insights into their mission, product development, and the challenges faced along the way, highlighting their vision for the future of AI in healthcare. Their presentation was followed by a live Q&A session, allowing the audience to engage directly with the founders.
It was an exciting event that got interesting, brilliant and eclectic minds into the room. The responses, conversations and feedback were enlightening, innovative and stirring. The Adexa Labz team left not just energised but with depth and broader ideas for bringing our product to the world.

The evening culminated with a fireside chat discussion on emerging industry trends. Moderated by Nicholas Chea from the Blue Factory Student Society, the discussion provided valuable insights into the impact of AI on employment, its role in healthcare and medical diagnostics, ethical concerns, potential benefits and opportunities, future challenges, and the appropriate types of AI for deployment in healthcare.
