PhD in economics from the European University Institute in Florence, he is currently a professor at the University of Malaga. He has also taught in Salamanca, Bogotá, Madrid, Santiago de Chile and Miami. He is currently working on sovereign debt issues and cryptoeconomics. He teaches and writes on numerical methods for dynamic general equilibrium models, macroeconomics, and international trade theory. He has published in journals such as Review of Economic Dynamics, Journal of International Economics, Economic Theory or Public Choice. He is happily married and has three children (and a dog).
