Raphael Epperson is an Assistant Professor of Economics at ESCP Business School.
His research strives to inform policy design and uncover fundamental aspects of individual decision-making. He conducts microeconomic research with a focus on moral behavior, charitable giving, and environmental protection. Among others, he studies how different institutional designs shape these behaviors and analyzes the role of information and beliefs in the decision-making process.
He applies experimental methods, including field experiments with various organizations.
Raphael holds a doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Mannheim, Germany. Before joining ESCP in September 2025, he spent four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Innsbruck, Austria.
