Luisa Carrer is an Assistant Professor at ESCP Business School (Madrid campus).

Her research lies at the intersection of Public Economics and Political Economy, with a particular focus on gender diversity and inequality. She is interested in studying how social norms interact with the design and implementation of government policy. Additionally, she works on topics related to real estate and housing affordability.

She earned her PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics in 2024. Before joining ESCP Business School, she was a research fellow at the Dondena Research Center at Bocconi University, INSEAD Business School, and the Fondazione Rodolfo Debenedetti in Milan. She also visited the Economics Department at Stanford University in the spring of 2023.
