Santiago Barraza is Associate Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School, where he is currently the Coordinator for the European Finance Department and the Academic Director of the Specializations in Finance, Investment Banking, and Managerial Economics in Turin.

Prof. Barraza’s research and teaching interests include various topics in financial intermediation, investments, credit markets, and corporate finance. He has presented his research at renowned venues and events, including central banks like the Federal Reserve, the FDIC/JFSR Annual Bank Research Conference, and the Financial Intermediation Research Society Annual Conference. He has published his recent work in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Comparative Economics, and the Journal of Banking and Finance.

He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, a program he joined as a Fulbright Scholar.

Prof. Barraza has received the University Teaching Award from both ESCP Business School and Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina).
