Santiago Barraza is an Associate Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School, where he is currently the Finance Department Coordinator and a Director of the Specialization in Investment Banking.  He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, a program he joined as a Fulbright Scholar. 

Prof. Barraza’s research and teaching interests include several areas in financial intermediation, credit markets, and corporate finance.  He has presented his research at renowned venues and events, including central banks like the Federal Reserve, the FDIC/JFSR Annual Bank Research Conference, and the Financial Intermediation Research Society Annual Conference, to name but a few.  Moreover, he has published his recent work in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Comparative Economics, and the Journal of Banking of Finance.

Prof. Barraza has received the University Teaching Award from both ESCP Business School and Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina).
