Jérôme Creel is an Associate Professor of Economics at ESCP Business School. He joined the school in September 2007. He has also been the Director of the Research Department at Observatoire Français des Conjonctures Économiques (OFCE/Sciences Po) since January 2014.

His research has focused on European integration, the macroeconomics of the euro area, fiscal and monetary policies and their interactions, and financial stability.

He has co-edited several books at Palgrave Macmillan/Springer Nature and Éditions La Découverte. At the latter, he has been the editor of an annual series on L'économie européenne since 2016. He has published numerous articles in leading economic journals, including the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Financial Stability, and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control.

Jérôme Creel has extensive experience writing about and participating in policy-oriented debates. This includes hearings and reports for the French and European Parliaments and the European Commission. He is also a regular presence in the media (newspapers, radio, blogs, etc.).

He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris-Dauphine, obtained cum laude in 1997, after which he joined OFCE/Sciences Po.
