Certificate
Certified Human Rights Officer
(„Zertifizierter Menschenrechtsbeauftragter“)

On January 1, 2023, the German Supply Chain Act (Lieferkettengesetz) came into effect, requiring companies to monitor human rights and environmental risks in their supply chains.

Recent initiatives by lawmakers in Europe and the EU (e.g. Loi de Vigilance in France, Lieferkettengesetz in Germany) have emphasized the need for companies to adhere to strict Human Rights Due Diligence in their own operations and throughout the entire value chain.

As a HR professional, it's important to understand the growing importance of human rights in business and the need to allocate resources to manage this important challenge.

To effectively implement and maintain compliance (EU-Directive on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence), the appointment of a Human Rights Officer is crucial.

In this training, you will learn about the legal frameworks surrounding human rights, such as the UNGP (United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights) and its principles, as well as how to establish compliant processes within your organization and utilize the right tools. This training is divided into three days, with the first day providing an overview of the topic, and days two and three diving deeper into implementation strategies. You can choose to attend the first day for a general understanding or participate in all three days for a more comprehensive understanding.
