ESCP London Campus students from ESCP Music Collective visited the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead Heath with a live music performance for its patients, staff, and visitors.
Alongside their acoustic performance, Notes of Kindness, students also launched a fundraising campaign for the Royal Free Charity. They aim to raise £1,000 towards enhancing patient care, advancing medical research, and improving healthcare accessibility at the Royal Free Hospital.
The concert initiative was inspired by the personal experience of one of the band members, Yin Yin Tun, who had to have a hand surgery earlier this year following an accident. Thanks to the expertise and swift care of the hospital team, Yin was able to return to playing the guitar just six weeks after surgery.
I’m incredibly grateful to the amazing doctors, nurses, and specialists who took such great care of me during my recovery. This event is my way of giving back to the hospital that helped me when I needed it the most. With the support of my fellow musicians, we’re raising funds to support the hospital in its continued amazing work.

To organise this initiative, the collective reached out to the Fundraising and Community Engagement team at the Royal Free Charity, an organisation that supports the Royal Free London NHS hospitals by funding patient care, medical research, and hospital improvements beyond NHS provisions.
It was lovely of ESCP students to give up their time and energy to perform at our Royal Free Hospital restaurant. It makes a huge difference to our hospital staff and you created a lovely ambience for everyone to enjoy on their lunch break. Thank you so much for raising money for us here at the Royal Free Charity, we are incredibly grateful for your support.

The live performance was a resounding success, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the lower ground hospital canteen. Students performed a set of 10 songs, ranging from jazz classics to modern ballads like Fly Me to the Moon, The Scientist, and I Love You. The selection blended nostalgia, indie-folk charm, and soulful melodies, with some classic singalongs.
While the concert is now finished, the team still accepts donations until 15th April 2025 to support their cause. To learn more or donate, visit the official JustGiving page organised by the collective. Donate here.
