Academic Year 2022-23
Rules and Recommendations for the Berlin Campus

ESCP Business School Berlin appeals to students, staff, and guests to continue to voluntarily wear an FFP2 mask on campus when several people come together, especially in enclosed spaces.

  • Persons with respiratory symptoms (unless they have been cleared by a doctor, e.g. a cold) or fever are generally not allowed on university premises.
  • Rooms must be ventilated regularly. Regular, individually arranged ventilation serves hygiene and promotes air quality, as the number of pathogens in the air can increase in closed rooms.
  • Persons who have been in a virus-variant area in the last 10 days prior to their entry into the Federal Republic of Germany are still obliged to adhere to the existing strict registration, verification and quarantine regulations.
  • Visitors, companies and service providers of the university are to be made aware of compliance with hygiene rules by the university administration or the office and building management.

COVID-19 measures in France

In France, it is no longer compulsory to wear a mask in establishments open to the public, nor in public transport.
However, the epidemic context requires everyone to take extra care for themselves and for others.

Wearing a mask is still recommended:

  • in enclosed and crowded places and public transport (metro, train, bus, plane, etc.)
  • in large gatherings, including outdoors, for people who are at risk because of their age or medical conditions
  • in the presence of elderly, immunocompromised or chronically ill people
  • for vulnerable people (elderly or immunocompromised...)
  • in hospitals and for the elderly
  • in case of symptoms and for up to 7 days, in the case of exposure, or when leaving isolation

COVID-19 Isolation and Precautions

If you have tested positive for Covid-19 you must undergo an isolation period to avoid infecting others.
Here’s what you should do depending on your situation:

  • If you have never had any symptoms
You can end the isolation after 5 days without a swab or even before with a negative swab result.
  • If you have had symptoms
You can end the isolation after 5 days without a swab, provided that you have not had any symptoms for the previous two days.

If you end your isolation without a negative swab you must continue wearing a FFP2 mask until the 10th day following your infection.

If you have been exposed to Covid-19 (close contact) you should undergo 5 days of self-observation for any symptoms, during which you should always wear a FFP2 mask.
If you feel sick during this period we suggest you to get tested.
