Pascale Accaoui Lorfing holds a Ph. D in International Law from the University of Paris II - Assas, with distinction. Her research focuses on international contracts (hardship, force majeure, and other related doctrines) and investment contracts (the right of the State to regulate and the protection of investors).

She is the author of several publications: La renégociation des contrats internationaux, Editions Bruylant, 2011; Balancing States’ Responses and the Protection of Foreign Investors in the (Post) Pandemic World, (co-edition with Dr Yulia Levashova), Kluwer, 2022. She contributes to Lamy International Contracts on "Investment Contracts", on "Key clauses in international contracts and investment contracts (stabilisation clauses, balancing clauses, force majeure clauses)". She is a regular contributor to International Law Reviews and is the author of several publications on international contracts and investment contracts.

Pascale Accaoui Lorfing is a member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law and the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. She is a member of several working groups including the Working Group on International Contracts (International Arbitration Institute (IAI), Groupe de Travail sur les Contrats Internationaux), the Society of Comparative Legislation (Société de législation comparée), and the International Law Association (French branch).
