Maren Becker is Assistant Professor of Marketing and Research Methods at ESCP Business School, Berlin Campus. Her research focuses on the econometric modeling of marketing decisions, with a particular emphasis on advertising and its effectiveness.

Her work has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and the International Journal of Research in Marketing. Her research has also been featured in media outlets including Die Zeit, Markenartikel, and Harvard Business Manager.

Before joining ESCP, Maren was an Assistant Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU). She earned her PhD from the University of Cologne, Germany, in 2017, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).

Prior to her academic career, she worked as a Senior Analyst and Consultant for a large market research company. She also gained practical experience across different sectors through internships, including at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York and at an NGO in São Paulo.
