Founded 36 years ago, Les Caducées is a non-profit association run by students of ESCP Business School’s MSc in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Management.
Built around an Executive Committee and six teams (Public Health, Alumni, Communication, Panel Discussion, Nuit des Caducées, and Partnerships team), Les Caducées brings together 42 students from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds (pharmacists, doctors, engineers, veterinarians, and more), united by one purpose.
At its core, the association promotes the MSc in Biopharmaceutical Management at ESCP through public relations initiatives and the organization of several events throughout the year.
But the message it carries goes far beyond visibility. And because it’s never easy to sum up more than three decades of history, this article is enriched by insights from Prof Frédéric Jallat, Scientific Director of the MSc, whose answers help shed light on the origins of Les Caducées and the values it continues to carry today.
Why was Les Caducées created 36 years ago? What need did it address?
“At that time, our program was very different by nature. It was strongly oriented towards marketing, sales, and management. The curriculum was almost exclusively devoted to communication, PR, and marketing. My predecessor, the late Prof Jean-Claude Andréani, the former academic director, created Les Caducées. He wanted, first, to create buzz and generate visibility: to expose the program and make it well known within the industry. He also wanted students to get involved in a practical project, mainly devoted to communication and public relations,” states Prof Jallat.
How do Les Caducées shape the MSc’s identity? What values does it carry?
Prof Jallat: “As Les Caducées, you take the lead on the project and you are responsible legally, financially, and even logistically. That’s something I truly cherish, because you know I’m very much inclined to put you in real situations. It’s also a great way to expose your talents to an ecosystem that is more widespread, more diverse, richer, and more complex.
Finally, Les Caducées is very much aligned with what ESCP wants to represent “Bold & United”. It carries values of generosity, social contribution, and humanity, and I think that’s very much in line with what Les Caducées is and what you are doing.”
Flagship events
Over the years, the Les Caducées teams have taken the lead on impactful projects that connect the healthcare ecosystem, engage the public, and contribute to society.
Calendar of flagship events organized by Les Caducées in 2026.
La Nuit des Caducées
More than a gala evening, La Nuit des Caducées is the association’s flagship event and a must attend annual gathering for the healthcare and pharmaceutical ecosystem, held in May. Bringing together more than 250 participants, including communication agencies, pharmaceutical companies, MedTech firms, and other key stakeholders, it creates a unique space for exchange, networking, and conviviality.
At the heart of the ceremony is a clear mission: to celebrate and reward the most outstanding health communication projects and promotional campaigns. Each year, prizes are awarded across several categories, highlighting the creativity and impact of initiatives that contribute to better health outcomes and stronger patient support.
This year, the message of the mission is “Caring for each person, thinking of everyone.”
Charity Race & Charity Night
The Public Health team embodies Les Caducées’ commitment to social impact by raising awareness and mobilizing the community around major public health causes throughout the year.
The events include a charity race in February and the annual Charity Night in March. Both highlight the nonprofit supported by Les Caducées that year, and 100% of the funds raised are donated directly to one of the nonprofit’s projects. This year, we are partnering with Cami Sport & Cancer, a nonprofit that provides therapeutic exercise programs to help cancer patients cope better and improve their quality of life.
The Panel Discussion (La Table Ronde)
The Panel Discussion (La Table Ronde) is an interactive expert roundtable open to the public, designed to spark meaningful debate on a current health-related issue. Each February, it brings together 100+ participants, including professionals and students, for high-level discussions that connect perspectives across the ecosystem.
The event engages industry experts, public authorities, and healthcare professionals, creating a space where ideas can be challenged, shared, and shaped collectively. This year’s edition explores a timely question: to what extent can we rely on artificial intelligence in healthcare?
With even more events already planned, Les Caducées is aiming for a year that’s creative, enriching, and full of meaningful moments for everyone.

To close, a message from the Executive Committee
“This journey has taught us more than we could have ever asked for. Beyond leadership skills, treasury, project development, or communication skills, it has built unexpected friendships we are proud to call a family, one we choose and truly care for.
Les Caducées represents unity and identity: the heart of a community of 42 young healthcare professionals who don’t just move forward for themselves, but who also shine a light on students, alumni, professionals, and the wider public.
As we continue to grow and explore throughout this intense year, one message matters most to us, and one we want to leave to future generations as well: Keep building bridges, creating moments of connection, and keep Les Caducées a source of meaning, belonging, and shared purpose, bringing people together with empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to support initiatives that truly matter.”
