Raphaël Touitou, a recent graduate of ESCP’s Bachelor in Management (BSc) programme, embodies the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives within the school’s international community.

Despite his young age, Raphaël has already carved out a significant space in the digital content creation and media industry, drawing on the skills and connections cultivated during his time at ESCP. His journey vividly reflects how the programme enables students to not only discover their passions but also transform them into concrete business ventures.

As he continues to expand his company, INSANE PRODUCTION, Raphaël remains a shining example of how having the right tools”such as theoretical knowledge, practical business examples, strong role models, and access to connections and advice”can set you up for success in the fast-evolving world of entrepreneurship.

A Journey of Growth and Exploration at ESCP

Raphaël’s path to ESCP was rooted in a desire to immerse himself in a multicultural environment that could expand his horizons. Having completed high school in Toronto, Raphaël was drawn to the international exposure offered by the ESCP BSc programme. « Coming from France, Toronto felt like a whole new world to me, with people from all around the globe » he recalls. « When I saw the ESCP programme, I realised it was the perfect opportunity to continue my growth in such a stimulating milieu while learning business management and travelling extensively. » His journey took him across three campuses”London, Madrid, and Paris”each offering distinct experiences that enriched both his academic and entrepreneurial pursuits.

Throughout his time at ESCP, Raphaël’s entrepreneurial instincts, honed since his teenage years, found new dimensions. His fascination with the digital world, nurtured by his early projects in gaming server and video creation, seamlessly aligned with the business management skills he developed at the School. « ESCP taught me the rules of business, and once you know the rules, you can play the game, » he explains. This clarity, coupled with the connections he formed, allowed him to further his ambitions in the digital media industry.

Among the courses that stood out to Raphaël were competition and innovation, project management, and microeconomics”subjects that provided both theoretical knowledge and practical insights. He fondly recalls moments in microeconomics, where the professor’s engaging teaching style made complex concepts accessible. « It wasn’t just about learning; it was about having fun while learning, » he reflects. These academic experiences, combined with ESCP’s focus on real-world application, were instrumental in further shaping his entrepreneurial mindset.

INSANE PRODUCTION: Innovation in Action

During his studies, Raphaël laid the foundation for what would become INSANE PRODUCTION, his cutting-edge digital content company. Launching the startup just after graduation, Raphaël’s vision for INSANE was clear: to blend 3D technology, artificial intelligence, and digital marketing to create immersive and interactive media experiences. « We are producing virtual influencers and immersive experiences, and no one has done this before in France, » he proudly shares. The company specialises in virtual influencers, AI-generated videos, and 3D marketing campaigns, setting new benchmarks for innovative media formats.

The entrepreneurial environment at ESCP played a crucial role in the development of INSANE PRODUCTION. « I engaged many people from ESCP participating in my business”as advisors, business partners, » Raphaël notes. His additional academic training, particularly in gamification, provided the expertise necessary to push the boundaries of what was possible in digital content creation. The school’s support for entrepreneurial ventures, through clubs and projects, allowed Raphaël to experiment and refine his ideas within a collaborative and supportive community.

Winning the ESCP Intercultural Film Festival 2022 while studying in Madrid marked a significant milestone in Raphaël’s creative journey, encouraging him to continue pushing boundaries. Soon after, his team entered the Project Odyssey AI Competition, the largest short film competition at the time, featuring over 2,500 submissions and highlighted in Forbes. His team won two prestigious awards: the Luma AI Company Award for « Best 3D Motion Capture » and the « Behind the Scenes: Best 3D Mixed Media Workflow. » Reflecting on this success, he says, « These awards marked a turning point. Shortly after, Luma AI, a leading software company, invited me to join their creator program. This opportunity has paved the way for exciting future collaborations. »

A Vision for the Future: Expanding Horizons

Looking ahead, Raphaël envisions continued growth for INSANE PRODUCTION, with plans to scale his business globally. His aspirations are not limited to expanding his team or developing new technologies; he is also keen to explore new markets and push the boundaries of what digital content can achieve. « I see myself growing into this industry, building a team, going worldwide, » he states confidently. His ambition reflects the international perspective fostered at ESCP, where students are encouraged to think big and pursue their dreams with confidence.

Despite the allure of pursuing a master’s degree, Raphaël is focused on leveraging the current momentum of his business. The opportunities in his industry, coupled with his deep understanding of emerging technologies, have led him to commit fully to his entrepreneurial path. « I have so many business opportunities in such a growing industry, » he explains, emphasising his desire to continue innovating and breaking new ground.

For young entrepreneurs, Raphaël offers a valuable piece of advice: focus on building skills and creating value through technology. « Content creation is important nowadays. Even if it’s not your main expertise, it’s essential to understand it, » he says. This insight, borne from years of experience in both business and digital media, underscores the importance of staying adaptable and continuously learning.

Raphaël Touitou’s journey at ESCP, and his subsequent entrepreneurial success, highlight the transformative power of the Bachelor in Management (BSc) programme for a young creative mind. The school’s unique combination of academic rigour, practical application, and international exposure provided the foundation for Raphaël to launch INSANE PRODUCTION and significantly impact the digital media industry. His story is a powerful reminder of how ESCP’s emphasis on entrepreneurship allows young talents to discover, develop, and embrace their true potential, making their mark on the world.
