An innovative programme that integrates the most recent digital developments with current marketing and media knowledge.

Programme Objective
The specialisation in Marketing & Digital Media is part of the Master Degree (DEAMIE)*.

The MSc in Marketing and Digital Media mainly focuses on the digital marketing field to provide the students an integrative view of the different digital marketing tools and how they can play an important role in building a brand. It also puts an emphasis on how to apply marketing techniques and key strategic marketing aspects in an increasingly digital and globalised world. This way, during the learning process, it equips students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in an international, cutting-edge career in marketing.

The specialisation adopts a variety of teaching methods, such as blended learning as well as case- and project-based teaching, to foster hands-on learning that allows students to put theoretical concepts into live practice.

Students start their studies in the vibrant city of Madrid, where they stay for the first two terms. Next, students will be taking specialised courses either in London or Berlin and conclude their studies again in Madrid where they will engage in consultancy projects. On top of all these experiences, students will also interact with leading tech companies during the International Study Seminar, thus providing students with an updated and global knowledge base that is grounded in the most recent developments in the digital marketplace.

International Consulting Projects
Based on a learning by doing methodology

Based on a learning by doing methodology, the MSc in Marketing and Digital Media gives the students a hands-on chance to deal with real-world company challenges, get familiar with business reality and a collaborative approach by working in groups from different educational backgrounds and nationalities.

The ICP

The international Consulting Projects (ICP) are real life projects commissioned by companies, which allow the students to put into practice the concepts and digital marketing tools learnt in class as well as fostering their skills and professional behaviour for an international and multicultural business context.

Organised in Teams

Students, organised in teams supervised by professors, are assigned to a company’s challenge or real life marketing problem. Those projects are business initiatives that our partner companies want to address. Students need to analyse in-depth companies’ requirements and find solutions and propose actions plan that solve the company’s requirements.

Examples of Projects

Projects can cover a range of areas including marketing, consumer research, new product development, data analysis, optimisation, forecasting, and project management and decision analysis. Examples of project done in the past are: A data analysis to predict future commercial opportunities for a media planning agency. A Plan to target into new markets for international expansion for a fintech, a social media platform or a newly lunched product. Guidelines to design innovative point of sales activities for a FMCG company. A marketing plan for a B2B company in specialised consulting services. A marketing plan for a B2B company in big data analysis.

Learn The Spanish Language
Spanish immersion course

As an international business school, ESCP Madrid campus welcomes students from all over the world and invites them to get familiarised with our Spanish culture by learning Spanish before starting the MSc programme.

We believe that the more Spanish the students speak, the easier they will find it to integrate into Spanish society and the more they will get out of their stay in Madrid. So, unless the students are a native or advanced Spanish speaker, we strongly recommend that they take this opportunity to work on their Spanish before they start the Master programme.

Students do not need to speak Spanish to enrol in the MSc programme as all courses are offered in English. However, some knowledge of Spanish can be useful to enjoy the full ESCP learning experience, become professionally bicultural and optimise networking with Spanish and Latin America students and alumni. This is why ESCP Madrid campus offers a Spanish Immersion course which is included in the tuition fee.

Estefania Puente Alarcón - Acquisition & Growth Manager at Wikifactory - Master of Science (MSc) in Marketing & Creativity Alumi - ESCP

The international environment and business mindset experienced during my studies enabled me to successfully enter the startup ecosystem. Plus, beyond the academic excellence to master digital marketing as it was a new language, one of the current perks of doing the MDM at ESCP is to keep getting inspired by the stories and achievements of the friends and colleagues I met during this period.
